Perfection.

Bing Dictionary’s third definition says that “perfection” is a noun, stating as follows: example or instance of being perfect: somebody or something that reaches the highest attainable standard, or an instance of this.

The highest attainable standard…Interesting.

What exactly is perfection? And why is it so important to us? Why do we strive so hard to reach something that we know will get us nowhere in the end?! Because in the end, we all die, and we will be face to face with our Creator. And He will say to us, “Why are you trying so hard to grasp something that is so far away and so impossible for you to achieve without me; when I am right here in front of you?” What will you have to say about perfection then? That’s right… Nothing.

I have tried my whole life to be something that I most certainly am not. An that is perfect. Perfection is stupid. Perfection is pointless.

What do you expect to do when you reach it?! To sit on a pedestal to hand out orders to your imperfect slaves?? NO! You will not. And for those of you who try to be perfect for your mom, dad, or someone else: give it up! Tell them, “With all do respect, I can not be your perfect follower. I can try, but I will always fall short of your expectations for me. And so I am asking that you allow me to live my own dreams and be what I want to be.” Tell them to lay off your case… In all possible respectful manners.

Kick perfection in the face and leave it laying there in the dust while you go and be responsible, respectable, and well, be perfect in your own special perfect way.

Okay, so if everybody that is treated differently because of the way they dress, speak, or live just want to be normal, why can’t they be? It is because, in the sense of personalities, there is no such thing as “normal”. Maybe there is normalcy in the way we look or dress, but you can not be normal. And if you are one of the millions of humans who do, in fact, consider yourself normal… You are weird. So really… normalcy doesn’t exist.
